Sean T. Hughes – Family Entertainer, Balloon Artist, and Stand-Up Comic

For over three decades, Sean T. Hughes has been bringing big laughs, bigger balloon animals, and unforgettable performances to audiences of all ages. Whether twisting balloon masterpieces at lightning speed, or dropping punch lines from the mic as a stand-up comic, Sean lives by one rule: funny comes first (but fun always follows).

Sean’s love of entertainment began in high school working in theatre, mostly focusing on comedic performance. After high school, Sean attended DePaul University in Chicago where he worked on improv as well as Theatre Studies. Sean’s entertainment journey began in the bright lights and big fun of Opryland USA, where he charmed crowds as a roving clown and character performer. From there, he took his act to Lagoon Amusement Park in Salt Lake City, starring in the high-energy children’s production The Really Big Show by the Really Big Shoe (yes, that’s actually the name—and yes, it was as fun as it sounds).

In 2001, Sean’s talents went national as he joined the Brooks & Dunn Neon Circus tour, proving that cowboy hats and clown shoes can coexist peacefully.

Then came 2020—a year when the world paused, but Sean hit “play” on a new chapter. With live performances on hold, he pivoted to stand-up comedy, turning quarantine chaos into comedy gold. What began as a creative outlet quickly became a passion, adding another layer to an already colorful career.

Today, Sean blends his love of visual comedy, balloon artistry, and sharp stand-up to create entertainment that keeps audiences smiling long after the curtain closes. Whether you’re six or sixty, he’s got a joke—and probably a balloon giraffe—with your name on it.
